How to Back Up Your Blogger Template

In 3 Steps.

It is very easy to make a backup of your current Template, and here are the few steps it takes.

When you are logged into your blogger account, most likely you are place at the 'overview' section.

1. Simply click the 'Template' link in the menu list (as you see on the image).

2. Next step is to click the 'Backup/restore' button, as you can see on the image below.

3. a new popup window will appear where you have the option of downloading your Template, as you see below. Simply save the file where you want it.

I would also recommend you save your template in another way.

1. Return to Template area as in step 1 above. Then click the 'Edit HTML' button. If you get a security window, you simply click 'proceed' but do remember changing anything here, and it will affect the entire blog template (blog look).

2. Put a check mark in the 'Expand Widget Templates' this is for getting the codes for all your widgets. If you do not check this, then none of your widgets will be downloaded, so you will loose information, mostly from the sidebar and where else you have placed a box, a script, a counter code and more.

3. This will open a screen with a lot of codes, do not touch anything, simply select all and copy the codes to a notepad document.
